Challenge — Despite increasing production, Australian almond sales were plateauing. WO was tasked with creating the country’s first national almond advertising campaign to boost consumption.


Strategy
Research identified an opportunity to target the Gen Z/Y market, collaborating with CARAT, WO discovered that these generations prioritise health, leading to the campaign theme “The Almond Life.”
The campaign highlighted almonds as a daily staple, promoting key health benefits for different demographics: protein for gym-goers, healthy energy for kids, and a smart snack for shoppers. Three core TVCs were developed, featuring a smooth-talking almond character that became the campaign’s central icon. This character was utilised across social media for ongoing messaging.
The three ads were shot over three days with the help of prop makers and practical effects specialists to create engaging scenarios.




WO developed the talking almond with pencil and paper, and oversaw its development into a fully 3d model.
Outcome
The TVCs aired on BVOD platforms, reaching over 580,000 viewers with an impressive 96% completion rate. The campaign also achieved high click-through rates on interactive platforms, driving traffic to the website.
